Using official EPA mpg numbers as a starting point, CNET’s Wayne Cunningham recently pitted the top fuel-efficient cars against each other in a battle for eco car supremacy. Factoring in fuel
efficiency, initial and total costs of ownership, range and intangibles,
the Prius can’t be beat and easily takes the eco-friendly car crown.
The Prius offers the usability of any other compact-midsize car, while
destroying every gas-powered competitor in the mpg race.
