I picked up some of the sealing rings for the drain plug to do my oil change in a couple hundred miles. (tip: you're not supposed to reuse them).
Dealer told me to just pop off the sheild with a screwdriver. But he did say that when you change the oil,
fill up the filter before screwing it on. He said that the tight tolerances of the HCH will sense an empty filter as a problem and some check light on the dash will come on rendering your 30 min home oil change a major pain in the butt!
