Default Re: "sending" vs "dialing"

The TCH confirms by announcing "dialing" and the word scrolls across the display. The "ringing" sound is heard until the other party answers and we have a normal hands-free conversation.

Yesterday, instead of replying "dialing", the voice said "sending" and "s-e-n-d-i-n-g" displayed momentarily but nothing happened.

At the time, four bars were displayed next to the BT icon, so I repeated the process, using different presets without ever making a connection. Each time the response was "sending", not "dialing".

Normally, the radio mutes when the "off-hook" button is pressed and remains off until I push the "hang-up/cancel" button. Yesterday, the radio came back on immediately after the "sending" announcement.

Has anyone else gotten the "sending" announcement? What does it mean?

Any replies will be appreciated.
I'll assume you have the Non-NAV Bluetooth implementation. Correct? Because nothing you describe sounds at all familiar but I have the NAV version.
