I impress kids (and some adults) by pretending to start the car with verbal command. The factory remote start takes around 5 seconds to spool up after pushing the remote, which give me plenty of time to get my hands out of my pockets. I'm curious as to what installation you had completed for remote start? What keys are you pressing on your remote (fob) to get it started.
Also, when it starts, isn't it silent? My actualy engine doesn't kick in for a while, and sometimes not at all if it's not a cold start.
