Well, get a carfax report on the vehicle. There have been a surprising large number of flood and accident damaged hybrids making their way to other states and provinces.
Also, if possible, get a hold of the service history on the vehicle. A good and detailed service history raises the goodness factor on the car. Of particular interest is the CVT transmission.
Third have it inspected by a trained Honda technician so that they can perform an evaluation on the HDS system. Most mechanics will miss issues that could hurt your ownership experience. After all the car should still have a good factory warranty and checking in with Honda is a good start.
