Silly question, but I wanta know -

Why no cover over the battery other than carpet? Seems like a really odd choice. I worry about denting the thing. All the other Hybrids and EVs I have seen have a hard cover over the battery to protect it from damage. I have already had to clean sand out from around my battery pack and it is a real pain.

Also thank them for not putting any good awful Hybrid decals all over the thing like they did with the Demos. I like my stealth Hybrid, nobody knows what it is until I CHOOSE to tell them.

FYI I saw some early Ford Hybrids back in 2000 at a conferance if I can find the pictures I will post them to the site. The Gen one Prius was there too, but they kept the interior covered up and the hood down.
