It's an interesting article for the things it says and the things it doesn't say. It says that there are few mechanical problems and that the resale values are high. It doesn't say that the fuel efficiency has the potential to be much higher than '40 mpg' as those mythical 'users' report.
As slanted articles go, though, this one is not bad. I'd say the anti-hybrid bias is fairly minimal, since the overall point of the story is to laud the Prius in a somewhat atypical way. As for the larger point, the reliability of the car and its relatively few maintenance problems, I think it's fairly reflective of the experience most people here report with their Prii, anectdotally, anyway.
