Diesel is great. It has more energy than gasoline. It's a great use of the sludge after Gasoline distillation. It's cheaper to make which equals bigger profits. It's cheaper in term of gallons per mile which makes it more attractive which equals bigger profits. We get about 20 gallons of gasoline per barrel versus about 7 gallons diesel: More diesel = more barrels = more profits. And hey, if we run out of corn, we can use up the soybeans. Ah... the ways to consume are limitless.
