I've noticed my better tanks are usually Shell or Texaco gas. I don't seem to do as well on Exxon the few times I've tried it. Union 76 is a toss up. Mileage seems better than Exxon though.
I avoid Arco for a few reasons. Mostly due to dramatic injector clogging on my F150 - extremely repeatable, just two tanks causes rough idle and stalling at lights. I've had it happen too many times. Any cost saved it lost by having the injectors cleaned.
(FYI, my Hondas never had problems with Arco)
Keep in mind these are not scientific - just trends I've seen over the past 10 months of driving my TCH.
