My last car before my Prius was and Audi A4 Quattro (98), and after 6 years, the TCO was $650/Month. This includes the depreciation, Gas, Maintenance, etc. This does not include any financing, since I pay cash for my cars.

The Prius over a 10 year life, will cost me approximately $350/Month = $36K in savings vs the Audi A4. Since I paid full price for the Prius ($30K with extendend warranty, and 4 years maintenance), I will end up at the end of 10 years saving enough money to buy a new one.

That is a pretty good deal.

As for other cars that provide the same features and conforts at the same monthly cost savings, I have not found one that I would like to own.
