Although there are more efficient vehicles, hybrid and non-hybrid, my 2006 HAH is the quietest vehicle on the highway I have ever experienced. This comparison includes lots of time in several "luxury" makes and models. I cannot hear the engine or drivetrain while crusing at 75mph. Only minor tire noise and wind is present.

Lack of road noise was the main reason I bought the hybrid rather than the 4 cylinder model which would otherwise give roughly the same economy - for $3k less.

For me here in Wyoming with lots of highspeed driving and also lots of mountains, the mix of economy (28-32 in town 35-42 highway), power (fun to pass quickly even on uphill grades) and comfort, make it the ideal on-road vehicle.
