You realize why that thing [supposedly] gets 92mpg and your TCH gets 40mpg, right? A TCH is a 3,000lb+ midsize sedan. Lots of weight, plenty of aerodynamic drag. It's nothing like the vehicle on that page, which appears to be glorified motorcycle with full fairing. Not much weight and probably very little aerodynamic drag. If a 5-speed Insight can get 100mpg in the right hands (which it can) it's no wonder that thing can do 92. Which is not to say I necessarily believe the claims on the page in the first place, but it doesn't take a giant leap in technology to make a fuel efficient 1-seat vehicle.
