In general, you never need any sort of "additives" in newer cars.

These types of things would only help ( and then, only slightly ) in very old engines, with very high mileage, or in engines not maintained properly over the years. If they were great, ( and necessary ) all dealers would stock them, and your car would come with it from the factory.
