Default Re: NAH Respect

It's not a matter of respect or the number of users.

It's a matter of corporate interest. When this site was started, Jason administered the site in every detail. He could add or change the databases and the sections, and had a moderating staff to keep the forum in line, to write content, and provide feedback.

After the site was sold to Ibrands, Ibrands has control of the site. They switched from an article section to a wiki, and are the only people who have control over the content of the site. Jason and the rest of the moderating staff have to live with whatever Ibrands does or doesn't do.

Sadly, the case seems to be more often the latter. I have personally requested multiple times for a Mileage Database update for the newer hybrids, (2008 FEH's, 2008 2WD MMH, 2008 4WD MMH, NAH, and to fix the Saturn VUE database) as well as the ability to edit out tanks from users (Since if you look through them, you'll note some pretty proposterous tanks, such as 1 mile that took 12 billion gallons, and 2500 mile drives that required 8 gallons), but I haven't even been given a no, and that was months ago.

Unfortunately, this seems now to be the nature of the site, with extremely slow and infrequent updates.

I urge each and every one of you to use www.fueleconomy.gov to record your milage (Which you can also download as an excel spreadsheet should you so desire), and give the government feedback on how your hybrid performs, and allow other visitors to see how your NAH is doing.

Also, the website, www.cleanMPG.com is a site that focus' on increasing everyones performance, hybrid or not to beating the numbers the EPA sets forth, but also has a mileage database, complete with mileage signatures that you can use in the forums you visit. (You'll see many of our members here are also members there, and many mods are mods at both sites) So don't worry about using them for your mileage signature here.

I'm sorry I can't be of more help, but things are largely out of my hands.
