I
really think you should try one winter with the stock tires. You will probably be pleasantly surprised. Tire tread pattern is only part of your winter driving ability. Weight distribution and power management also play huge roles.
You would be foolish to replace the tires without trying them in winter first.
I live near Denver, and have a FWD only, and go to the mountains snow skiing almost every weekend from November to April. I think I drive in more snow and ice than you will see in your area. I have been 100% impressed with how well my car performs with the stock tires. These are not cheapo tires. Your FEH came with high quality, 80,000 mile all terrain tires. Give them a chance to impress you!
