Re: want to know what a true 100% electric, plug in can be go here.
It's not even good for them. On a 10 mile rush to pick up the kids. Going sixty takes 10 minutes. To average 60moh in a urban area ia almost impossible with traffic density we have in our over populated America. You would have to drive 70 or more in spots. Probably risking a accident.
Leave only 5 minutes early and you can drive 30mph arrice much more relaxed and in a better mood and travel with much more safety.
Now if you will do that you can go 100% electric for most of the driving.
My plan FIRST PART: use by current Hybrid (I did not make the best choice but a very good one) for 100% use in town until I can get a one with a plug that get 100MPG and then trade for something like a 4th Gen Prius.
SECOND PART: Rent a car when I need to take a vacation trip. I is still at least a hybrid or a blue tech diesel, but one with more room and capable of higher speeds (We have 70mph speed limit out here on interstates, everyone goes 78mph) so I need something that will go 85 to pass etc. and have more room for luggage, maybe a Murano or Hybrid Escape.
This saves my car wear and tear, parking in motel lots, valet parketing all those ding possibilities. No second license plate, Purchase, deprecation etc.
teknOwledge i sure wish I could get your Prius milage.
