Seems to be harmless and fun to play with, so I thought. About 3/4 of an inch ended up on the recently waxed car and ate though the clear coat and paint. It will be painted next week at an estimate cost of 350, it could be more if the paint does not match and he needs to blend beyond the door. This includes removing the door handle and window trim. This was an expensive trip to the $ Store.

I have had my TCH since sept 06 with no scratches or dings. The paint is perfect with cleacoat applied at the 'port' (it's a J car) The only way I've been able to keep it that way is to parallel park whenever possible or to park way at the end of the parking lot.

By the way, if that plastic bubble crap can eat through clearcoat and paint, imagine what the fumes do to a kid's lungs. Maybe you were lucky the accident happened before it had a chance to hurt your youngster
