I don't think it matters whether the Volt is called a series hybrid or an electric car with a range extender. What matters is the CARB classification since that dictates how many clean car credits GM gets.

Personally, I hope the CARB decides each one sold is the same as a fool cell car. That would solve a lot of problems, real quickly.
