I met with them for some time, and have arranged a test drive. A few very big points:
1. This doesn't use technology that doesn't exist yet. Everything is there and works. The vehicle works and works the way it's supposed to.
2. This vehicle uses off the shelf parts. No specially designed parts, just parts that are available in bulk now.
3. The cost for an OEM to take this technology and integrate it into their vehicle build and sell it would be a price increase of about $8,500.
I've got a lot of their press materials, and will be taking a test drive of one of their converted vehicles in the very near future.
I was honestly stunned by what they've accomplished. The idea of using the ultracapacitors to lengthen battery life and to cause power to be "on demand", as well as the ability to shift between pure EV and Hybrid mode at the push of a button is pretty cool.
