I've averaged 7.9 gallons per tank over my first 8 tanks, and I think it's about time for me to use at least some of the remaining 4 gallons. I usually fill up around 25 miles after the "add fuel" warning comes on, and top off for about a gallon. Do you think it is safe for me to add an extra 2 gallons past my calculated gas usage for my following tank? I don't feel like having a "burp" tossing up an ounce of gas and spill it down the side of the car and onto the pavement... talk about pollution and a mess at that.

What to do? I feel like I'm going to the station too often!
