We're in a recessionary environment and people scale back their purchases or make cheaper ones. According to Honda's January sales only the regular Civic, Fit and CRV showed sales gains, the Civic & Fit significant ones:

Its hard to tell from one month along but looks like Acura is in a lot of trouble.
