I am furious with the fact that GM had something that worked and now they are saying they have to go back to the drawing board with the Volt- so what did they destroy the EV1 technology altogether- I think NOT.

VOLT - FACT of FICTION? Instead of wasting valuable time and money on solutions that are NOT proven to work- why aren't you concentrating on the one real solution...ELECTRIC CARS. After all, you had the solution before but your timing was not right since gas was only $1.50 when you released the EV1. Can't you understand that Toyota and Honda are going to be the dominant leaders in the Green Auto Industry and GM will be lagging far behind them. By the way, a bad decision to have sold the Nickel Metal Hydride Battery Pack to Chevron/Texaco- what is wrong with that picture? Even if you do get the Volt to market- (the odds of me getting hit with an asteroid is better)- why wouldn't you have made a diesel hybrid? After all, you purchased Isuzu just to acquire the diesel engine. How soon you forget about the GM Precept? It was claimed to achieve 108mpg in Jan. 11, 2000. Seems like a Volt to me-huh? Wake up GM and understand no one now wants BUMMERS - we want EV1s!!!
