And forget security. Who are you trusting to watch your car? Some guy making $7 an hour in the exit booth, and another guy making $10 an hour as a security guard. The thief just gives them a couple hundred bucks, and enjoys unfettered access to the lot.

All too true, unfortunately. What's worse is the lot knows where you live and quite possibly when you'll be back. As a result, there have been several homes robbed as a result in the Seattle area. Never leave your house key with your car key: that just makes it too easy.
