O.K. so the poster was a little off math wise, but in real math it is not that far off when you reverse the anti hybrid FUD onto gas guzzlers, for instance....35/$3.60=9.72 galsX50 mpg = 486.11 miles driven...486.11/10mpg for the suv X $3.60 = $174.99 for the same distance.....in other words, the SUV costs about 5 times more fuel to go the same distance as a hybrid.....might as well be $500...and well may soon be.

The other math was that the SUV costs about $10,000 more than the Hybrid mentioned ($15,000 more than my HCH) one of the things I at least as a Hybrid owner hear frequently is "when will it pay for itself in gas" My question to the SUV owner is, so, when will it pay for itself?

Granted, you have an escape SUV, it is the only SUV that makes any sense, however, since they are impossible to get in this part of the country, they may as well not even make them...
