Default Re: VeraSun Energy testing E85 Escape Hybrid

I don't know that one... E85 does not require massive amounts of extra fuel... just perhaps 25% more. The normal ones in my car seem to work fine.

I've not yet taken it up a steep mountain grade with E85, but I've gone on the highway at 75 MPH which is almost as much... fuel-wise... as a steep mountain at 55 or 60 MPH.

I really can't tell I'm using E85, except my MPG is in the 20's.
When cold, I had a little bit rough idle with E85.
It is smooth at everything above idle, even when the engine is cold.
