The spread could be attributed to Driving Style and the Hybrid Vue itself.
My driving style is very smooth accelerations and stops. However, I am not a granny in the slow lane. I drive 65+ miles per hour when on the open road and use the A/C as needed. Read some of my comments under my gas entries and you will see - I go everywhere with the Vue and under different conditions. All my numbers are 100% accurate.
On the flip side some Vue owners have tried different driving styles but just can not seem to get good mpgs. Maybe because of the battery and the issues one gets with a first year model Hybrid. Not sure.
All I know is that I am very satisfied with the Saturn Hybrid Vue. When I made my decision it was between the Ford and Saturn. In my market (Baltimore) the Ford was several thousand more and since I had a Saturn before it was an easy decision to go Saturn.
