Actually, I'm thinking about setting up a solar panel recharging system that would keep the 12V battery topped off. A guy over in Cleanmpg did it with a Honda Civic Hybrid, and he is seeing significant fuel efficiency improvement, especially in the winter.

I'll have a 15W panel on my back deck, with a controller mounted in the trunk that drives the 12V battery directly. Wish me luck!
