A lot of us have noticed that the gas gauge moves toward empty a lot faster than the mileage indicator does - many of us have shown 100 miles on a tank and the tank is now 1/2 empty (or full). Use the mileage info button to get a better feel of what you have available. And of course, have patience, our first tanks were the pits also. (btw, winter driving will lower your mpg results - not to scare you off, but so you'll be aware when that happens in January.)
