Default Re: Carpool lane access for California Hybrids (not all)

I received the HOV stickers today for my two Priuses. There are indeed 4 stickers: one larger one each for the front and rear bumpers, and two smaller ones that are place just behind the rear wheel wells. (I'm not thrilled about sticking things onto my paint job, but I guess that's what it requires. So be it.) There is also a certificate which is to be kept with your vehicle registration card. ("Present to any peace officer upon demand." )

I paid $40 each for the FasTrack transponders, which arrived a few days ago, but am not sure whether I will put them in the cars or not, since I might pass through an affiliated bridge/toll twice a year. Maybe. For now, I am considering them a lease, and have not attached them to the cars (they are designed to be stuck on the windshield glass behind the rear view mirror). A work colleague who is awaiting his transponder and stickers says he plans to pack up the transponder and send it back after the stickers arrive. I wonder what that does to your Clean Air Decal registration, anyone know?

I saw one other car with the stickers on Thurs. night (2 nights ago), so they are beginning to appear.
