Unfortunately, going slower is not an option. I currently drive an 02 Explorer and cruise about 75-80 and still get passed! On the brightside, the traffic is generally not congested and you can cruise at your desired speed nearly the whole commute. It's very flat as well.

I could probably get away with going 70, but have been wondering if we're better of getting a 5 speed "standard" civic since 70 would be the absolute minimum speed we could go...I've seen slower cars get nearly pushed off the road.
