The comparison I was making was comparing a strong hybrid to a vehicle program, not a BAS. BAS would not cost as much as a strong hybrid to develop. I should have been more clear when I said "vehicle program". Look at it this way.....There are vehicle "minor" programs. That would be like the upgrade from the 2005 Saturn VUE to the 2006. Some content changes, different front and rear fascias, some interior trim upgrades. There are vehicle "major" programs. That would be like replacing the C5 Corvette with the C6. Same architecture, upgraded powertrains, new body design and panels and electrical systems. Then there are clean sheet of paper programs. That would be like the Pontiac Solstice or the Ford 500. Ground up programs that have no precedent architecture to build off of. My reference is a comparison of a STRONG hybrid program to a vehicle MAJOR.
