Default Which bulb is the daytime running light?

My DRL bulb is out and I'm looking at the manual and it lists
  • ...
  • Front side marker lights
  • Front turn signal/parking lights
  • ...and then a few rear lights

Which bulb is it?

I vaguely recall that it is the high-beam headlight at half power. However, I am pretty sure it is either the high or low beam, which I believe are both in the same bulb. If you turn on your low beams and see one (or both) out, you have the answer. If not, turn on the high beams and look for one of them out.

Another option would be to wait a few minutes when it is likely that someone with the exact answer will reply.

Most commonly Toyota runs the 2 high beam bulbs in series to get 6 volts each, one bulb fails, no DRLs. High beam mode gives greater viewable range.

they call it headlight bulb 1 and bulb 2. The DRL is bulb 1. I think they are the same bulb spec.

It is generally a good idea to test ALL of the bulbs on a car, occasionally, and replace any that don't work. That used to be part of an oil-change interval service.

Every day, I see cars on the road with one or two of the three brake lights burned out. I am sure there are some that have all three brake lights burned out, but those are harder to tell.

Make sure the parking lights work. Turn them on, is one notch below where it says, headlights. I'm not sure, but I thought the running lights were amber and also bright during the day. The DRL's could be the parking lights, sure worth a look.
