Default Re: Dept. of Energy HEV mpg test results

What I wonder is this:

-- Why the heck were those fleet vehicles so expensive? BankONE paid $23k, but I got my HCH for $19.9k -- and I only bought one!
-- Who the heck taught those BankONE employees how to drive?! They got 37 MPH out of an HCH? And blew the trannies around 100k? Geeez!
-- What was the average highway speed these cars were driven at? 90 MPH? 100?
-- Did these cars get any kind of maintenance at all?

I guess there's no way to know. But it just seems fishy that a whole set of Hondas can be in the junkyard around 100k. My experience is that a Honda outlasts most marriages these days, ha ha.

.

Hope is like a candle held against the night.
