I can assure you that there are LOTS of math-challenged doctors.
My graduate degree is in biostatistics. Lots of doctors pursue Master's of Publi Health at some point in their careers, and at the school I attended, every
MPH degree required at least one course in biostatistics -- I was a teaching assistant for several basic classes and I tutored on the side. Many doctors I know struggled in those classes.
