Default Re: A Hypermiling Angel guiding my way ...

Thanks Wayne!

What I've really noticed in your post is despite all of the multitude of seemingly endless flow of obsticles you still ended up with 46.5 + mpg in your regular non-hybrid Accord.
Outstanding!
Many people make the mistake of thinking that a hypermilers commute is optimal and perfect, which you've shown is just flat wrong...often times is just opposite.

I've posted tips and other information in several automotive forums around the net and there are always people saying "If only I had such a blessed commute" as if the hypermiler has some unseen force or "Angel".

It only shows hypermiling isn't limited to a small few, but for those who are willing to ask, apply, experiment and try.

Thanks for that post!

Laurie, I grew up the first 22 years in the Bloomington/Richfield area and can't imagine the difficulty in hypermiling in those conditions.
I'd be willing to bet that you were getting the best FE of any vehicles on the road that day!

.

Efficient drivers do it better.
1003 miles a tank personal record. 74MPG calculated. HCH1 CVT
