My 75 MPG tank
Just filled my 04 Prius for the 23rd time. I put in 7.042 gallons and went 532 miles which equals 75.55 MPG!!
My previous best was a 70.7 MPG tank.
Some details: Mid Sept-Mid Nov with mild temps. Keep tires 44/42. Started tank in WY with my wife, our two mountain bikes inside and we were just returning from a month long trip through twelve states, but most of the driving was near Boulder/Denver CO. Generally speeds 50's and 60's. Took about a dozen trips on the tank. No mountain driving and no strong winds. Filled with three pip/bars. I topped the tank, adding as much fuel as I thought would not overflow. For almost the entire tank, the MFD showed over 70 mpg and ended with 71.3 mpg.
Current lifetime data is 11391 miles using 187.323 gallons= 60.81 MPG
