I hardly ever drive my 2004 HCH on the highway... so I've been averaging about 44-45 mpg in the past three months since I bought my car.... my commute to work is short (I try to ride my bike a lot because it only takes about 4 minutes to drive from my house to my office). I can't always bike, especially in Texas where it's so hot out.

My question is, for all of you getting such good mpg, I'm assuming that's highway driving, correct? Is it all the stoplights that are killing my mpg, or am I doing something wrong? One time when I filled up and drove on the highway I was at 49. something, but the minute I went back to city driving it dropped to 47 then 46 then 45. I've never seen it go over 50 though, much less 60.
