General Motors has had a very strong push on their E85 flex-fuel vehicles to tout them as being like hybrids since they only use 15% as much gasoline per gallon of liquid fuel consumed. Granted, a flexfuel Suburban only gets about 12mpg on E85, which means it's going to use 4-5 times as many gallons per mile as a Prius, for example, so it's still not a very good gasoline user anyway. Still, I can understand it.
