there were previous threads i posted in addressing this.

I installed a completely new head unit with a direct AUX-in so that the Ipod could be plugged in using a male-male stereo wire.

don't go for the FM transmitter things. I used one for a while (griffin itrip) but then sold it to somebody else. the static just doesn't cut it. with a direct aux-in sound is much, much cleaner.

you could also buy a cable to hook up your ipod to the stock head unit as if it were a 6-cd changer.
