I can tell you, for what I paid in oil and filter from the dealership ($19.21), it's almost worth it to let them change it ($24.95 normally, $19.95 with a coupon).
But personally, I enjoy doing my own maintenance. And besides, at least when I do my own maintenance, I KNOW when the mechanic is being lazy and didn't do what's right. (Like using the wrong weight oil. Not torquing the filter or drain bolt properly. Not putting in a full five quarts.)
