For example, is the electric motor and the transmission the same peice of equipment? I want to know what the machine is really doing. For another example, when you are driving down the highway, and the NAV screen shows that power from the gas engine is going to both the wheels AND the electric motor, and the electric motor is ALSO powering the wheels, but, its not pulling from the battery, just exactly what is going on?

It kind of explains things that you are asking about. Also for how to get the BEST MPG look at the thread Ford Escape Hybrid FAQ. Pravus Prime has done an excellent job in gleaning from all the threads

Also check out The Low Gear Advantage and THE EV ADVANTAGE both started by GaryG - here you will find some of the best tips and tricks to help you get the most out of your FEH. If you look at the ‘Compare’ – ‘Escape 4WD’ you will see Privus Prime right at the top and if GaryG (2WD) did I am sure he would be at the top.him right up there at the top – also check out all the post by exel.

Oh on that Home button – all you have to do is when you are say in your garage, press and hold it down about 6 sec – I think it makes a sound – can’t remember.
