Actually, some of us think we may have already passed a tipping point with tundra warming releasing methane.

Temps here went from 64F on Saturday to 19F on Sunday. Yeesh. But, after today, the temps will be near 50F again, with some golfing on Friday..
Frankly, I don't know what to believe now about global warming. One side says its a natural phenom that occurs on a periodic basis the other side may agree to a point but says that burning fossil fuel is accelerating the natural process. Many threads and posts on this site to reference along with actual data so who knows???
I think all we know for sure at this point is that the arctic tundra and north pole ice pack (aka the Arctic ocean) including Greenland glaciers are melting at alarming rates and this is not going to be good in the not so far off future. There was a good show on the WX channel yesterday about the melting of Alaska, sounds like you may have seen it Bob. I guess my 2 cents is that the damage has already been done and its getting worse but the proof will not be known for 1000's of years. Being the biggest source of greenhouse gas, at least we (the US) are scratching the surface with alternate forms of clean energy sources.
