Lot's of cars were boxy in the 1980's - the Chrysler K cars come to mind. I did not have a problem with angular then. It's angular, big, and tall together that bugs me. It seemed so obvious that it was an "SUV as a sedan", that I took that Chrysler 300 picture and vertically streched it until it looked like a common SUV.
So maybe I'm getting picky. If these cars replaced the majority of SUVs, it would still reduce our dependance on foreign oil.
This SUV look seems to be an obsession....
