Default Re: 2006 Prius vs. 2006 Civic - cost and feature comparison

As pointed out elsewhere, drive and compare both cars and "TRY" not to let your emotions rule and don't factor the cost in.....yet.

Now, shop for the best price on both cars. Although both cars are in demand and this "typically" equates to MSRP or more, there are many threads in these forms that show deals are to be had. Utah (john) shared the following link in another thread and has gotten some good deals using the advice. I am taking the liberty of sharing it here: www.carbuyingtips.com

I whole heartedly see nothing unethical or in violation of my religious beliefs in any of the tip given. Car dealers do their homework and know how to play on customer emotions and little tricks to sell extra's, so in my eyes, this is just leveling the playing field. A little research and asking a lot of questions will pay off, if you really want to get the best price.

OK.. Now you know exactly what it is going to cost you can weigh the cost with your preference. Hypothetically, let’s say the Honda will cost you $2000 less then the Prius, but you prefer the Prius. Are your preferences in the Prius strong enough to out weigh the cot difference? Only YOU can answer that question. Best possible scenario is the car you prefer is also the lower cost car !

Good luck and have fun shopping. Stop back and let us know what you decided
