I asked if it had a lifetime mileage gauge and he asked if I meant a trip meter. I said "um sure" and he said "No it doesn't have a trip meter"

He tried to get the idle stop to work but couldn't. He said that the 2004 and newer has the idle stop feature but the 2003 must not (he he).

Under the hood he shows me the bright orange wires that "go to the 2 motors, one for each wheel".

He told me that the "S" (sport) setting was for "Slow".
hey, that must be the same guy who sold me my '69 corvette back in new jersey... was his name Joe P....? i'd let the dealer put my car on the showroom floor to generate some traffic for them, and i went in one day to "visit my baby." i opened the hood and found a small silver canister which was part of the fuel line, between the fuel pump and the carburetor. i asked the salesman what it was, and he made up some bogus answer. his boss, the sales manager, was standing next to him, and interrupted, saying, "Joe, when you don't know what you're talking about, just shut up."
. later, i figured out what it was: a vapor separator. the fuel pump pumped fuel into the little can. most of the fuel went to the carburetor, but at idle, excess fuel was returned to the fuel tank through a third pipe connected to the canister. thus, the fuel pump was always pumping fuel through the main fuel line, virtually eliminating the chance of vapor lock! very clever! and taught me something about lying to customers. i never did that when i got out into industry, and many people respected me a lot for that. [except the inveterate liars.... ]
