for us canadians thats 61km/h ~~ the speed where I also drive in the city on with 2000 rpms in 4th gear. And 83 km/h for the minimum highway speed... which is also 2000 rpms @ 5th gear. Seems like 2000 rpms is still the sweet spot for my car according to the prius! Good data Bob!

edit: you can coast in deadband state with a classic right? And can you give more details about your warm up route? Do you accelerate slowly or do you try to spend as much time as possible during that 1 mile before starting to cruise at your normal minimal speeds?

i got around 20 km a liter when i drove a civic 5 spd using advanced hypermiler techniques
and now I drive a salvage nwh20 prius that gets almost to 25 km/l with 192,000 km to date.
