Yep, Elan C is right. I went through this same thing. I mistakenly bought a SD card at first. To my dismay, it would not play. I've sense returned it and purchased a 4 GB Compact Flash card and it has worked flawlessly. My only complaint is the "Random" feature. It always plays the same tracks in the same order.
