In response to the first question, it is true. The engine must warm up before it will autostop. If you are using the a/c w the econ button off, i'm pretty shure it wont autostop, but if the a/c isnt on, it should work just like the econ. To my understanding the econ button just lets the a/c stop for autostop...i think. Not really sure about the last one, but i am sure someone will have a much better and thought out response for you.
