The older I get, the more I dislike politics.
For the record, I voted for Bush (with increased misgivings - I'd prefer right of center, which some of his supporters would chararterize as "socialist" {sigh}....)
I just don't care for the polarizing of American poltics with either party. Lay down the hard line at the expense of truth. I could mention other issues (and generate flame wars), but I tire of hearing a political point of view that conviently ignores things such as the mounting evidence of Global Warming. I would like to believe the statistics are as Benjamin Disraeli once said, worse than a lie, but winters are warmer in Dallas. It used to snow and stay on the ground two winters out of three - it might be one out of four now.
For decades, it was convient to ignore the weak levees in New Orleans. I suspect a similar pattern regarding the Earth's warming....
