I've got ~5200 miles on my '06. Still have both little bumpers (I checked). My "paint" looks just fine the black is solid and all.

As for the defroster.... well... mines got a slight browner color at the edges than in the middle... but it looks pretty "normal" to me (who knows... maybe mine will get worse later and not look "normal".)
